Gin Yeti Rescue (Reserve Parachute)
$830.00
The Yeti Rescue is Gin Gliders’ original ultra-light, ultra-compact rescue parachute. While being one of the lightest on the market, its unique design prioritizes safety by offering up to 40% more surface area than comparable competitors, resulting in a low, safe certified sink rate across its wide range of sizes.
Target Group
-
Weight-Conscious Pilots: Individuals involved in hike & fly, travel, or general cross-country where minimizing gear weight is essential.
-
Safety-Focused Flyers: Pilots who demand the lowest possible sink rate (high surface area) and proven reliability from their rescue system.
-
Tandem Pilots: The largest sizes (50 and 60) are designed to safely accommodate tandem flight weight ranges (up to 220 kg).

The Yeti Rescue was developed over two years with a clear design brief: to be ultra-light and compact without compromising the critical safety factor of a large surface area. It successfully achieves this balance, offering an excellent safety margin for all types of pilots and flying.
Key Features:
Exceptional Surface Area: The design is optimized to provide a maximum surface area for a given weight. For instance, the size 35 (M) weighs just 1.5 kg but boasts a 34.2 m² surface area.
Low Sink Rate: The generous canopy size ensures a low certified sink rate, with the size 35 model achieving 5.03 m/s at its maximum load of 100 kg.
Ultra-Light and Compact: The rescue uses advanced lightweight materials to maintain a compact packed volume, ranging from 3700 cm³ to 8600 cm³ depending on the size.
Wide Size Range: Available in six sizes, accommodating maximum flight weights from 80 kg (size 27) up to 220 kg (size 60), including options suitable for heavy solo pilots and light tandems.
Certification: Fully certified to EN / LTF standards.
Mounting Versatility: Can be installed in most integrated harness containers or mounted externally using the optional Yeti external container and Light rescue bridles (80cm or 125cm).
